Mount Moriah holds that cultural enrichment is not optional. It is essential. We believe self-knowledge is the groundwork of liberation. To know who we are, whose we are, and the legacy we carry is to break the chains of distortion, erasure, and imposed identity. Cultural enrichment is not exposure for its own sake. It is a disciplined and sacred act of reclaiming truth, restoring dignity, and equipping our people to move freely and faithfully in the world.
RESOURCE CENTER
On Saturday, March 21, 2026, we shared our First Quarter Cultural Enrichment Trip to Charleston. We visited the International African American Museum, located at the historic site where many enslaved Africans first entered North America. The museum powerfully tells the story of the African journey, resilience, and contributions across generations.
We also enjoyed lunch at Hannibal's Kitchen, a fantastic Black-owned restaurant in downtown Charleston that truly delivered.
Experiences like this matter. They ground us in truth, create space for shared learning, and connect our past to our present. They also build community. Learning together deepens bonds, and breaking bread restores joy. Moments like this remind us to carry the story forward, together.
Stay tuned for our next Cultural Enrichment Trip.
